What is the evisa?
The electronic visa (e-Visa or eVisa) and the electronic travel authorization (ETA, ESTA, AVE, K-ETA, NZeTA, etc.) are digital documents, issued by the immigration authorities of a country, which confirms that its holder is authorized to apply for entry and stay at destination during a given period.
It replaces the traditional visa, affixed to the passport, usually issued in consular representations or at border posts. Approved by the immigration authorities of the visited country, the electronic visa is sent, after ministerial approval, by e-mail to the applicant, which the latter must print and then present when boarding and disembarking in the country.
